Targets and Progress Review

Consultation on assumptions

The Authority requested assistance from the Commonwealth Treasury and the former Department of Industry, Innovation, Climate Change, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIICCSRTE) to provide input to its economic analysis for the Targets and Progress Review.

The Treasury and former DIICCSRTE undertook the economic modelling of different climate change mitigation scenarios in close consultation with the Authority.

The former DIICCSRTE coordinated a consultation process on the preliminary assumptions underpinning the modelling, with a closing date of Friday 3 May 2013.

DIICCSRTE held two consultation workshops with sectoral experts and received five public submissions on assumptions.

The proposed approach and assumptions underpinning the modelling exercise were outlined in the Overview document and supporting papers below.
